The house is located inside the Alanya Castle walls. The castle was built in the 13th century by the Seljuk Turks. It was built on the remnants of earlier (4th century BC) Byzantine and Roman fortifications. The walls of the citadel are 250 meters above sea level,

The present owner of the house is a member of Ottoman Imperial Family and the great grandson of one of the Ottoman Sultans.

It is between 3-400 years old and was restored magnificently in 1997- 2000 and nominated for the Aga Khan prize for architecture in 2004.
The restoration was immaculate, remaining true to the original. The living area has two floors.In the first floor there is an open kitchen, a nicely decorated large hallway, and a well appointed wine cellar, plus a bathroom.
The second floor, there are four rooms (there bedrooms and a private office). There is a large balcony with a superb view of the sea and an indoor terrace.
The second but attached house has two complete guest suites with their private bathrooms on the second floor.
The lower floor has the servant’s quarter with a bedroom, dining/living room and kitchen. There is also separate room, with a private bathroom that can be used for gardener, driver etc.
It is one of the few houses in the castle with a garden, in fact the largest garden in the castle (750sq meters) and the only one with a swimming pool. The entire property sits on a hill overlooking a spendid view of the famous Red Tower and the Mediterranean Sea.
The first house has a total of 352 m2 closed area and the adjacent guest house 142 m2 closed area for a total of approximately 495 m2 enclosed living area.
